However, he enters his 25th start as an underdog, making this an intriguing spot to back him. Berríos is coming off a win over Oakland last Friday, where he gave up just one run and one walk over seven innings, striking out eight. The only real blemish was a solo home run. Beyond that, Berríos limited hard contact and induced 12 swinging strikes on 103 pitches while hugging the edges of the plate. He was ahead in the count all night and had the A’s chasing his slurve, which he’s been using more as an out pitch over his slider to positive results.

Tyler Anderson (LHP - LAA) is a pitcher whose stock is on the rise after picking up a win over the Yankees last Thursday. However, while that win is nice, Anderson, who was an All-Star only because the Angels didn’t have anyone better, has logged just three quality starts in his last eight outings. Anderson’s 2.99 surface ERA sparkles, but his xERA is a bloated 4.76, his strand rate is a lucky 83.1%, and his BABIP is a fortunate .237. The Blue Jays are the third-most disciplined team against LHP, and as an underdog, they present us with some tremendous value that we aren’t going to pass up.
