Cincinnati over Milwaukee
2:10 PM EST. The Brewers do not yet have a starter, but word is they could reinstate DL Hall (RHP - MIL) from the 60-day injured list with a banged-up knee. Hall would be available on four days' rest after he pitched four innings in his latest rehab start with Triple-A Nashville on Tuesday. Hall has not made a start in the majors since late April and he tossed just 64 pitches on Tuesday. It was thought that Hall would come out of the bullpen upon his return to the majors, but the Crew are desperate for starting pitching, so Hall gets the nod.
Meanwhile, Nick Lodolo (RHP - CIN) owns a 5.52 ERA over his last five starts, but his 3.48 xERA during that time is a spot-on match for his full-season 3.51 xERA; the bloated ERA has been the result of a 31% H% and 67% S%. And he's been excellent on the road: 2.84 ERA, 0.81 WHIP, 29% K%, 24% K-BB%. Lodolo is coming off a win in his last start where he struck out seven over six IP v the Marlins and as an underdog, it’s worth finding out if he can keep the good times rolling here.
