This is a fade on Cristopher Sanchez (LHP - PHI) and the Phillies, but we’ll note that the Diamondbacks are a smoke show right now and they are getting healthier with Merril Kelly (RHP - ARI) ready to make his way back from the 60-Day IL. Kelly threw 62 pitches in a minor league start at High-A Hillsboro on Tuesday and we are willing to take whatever he gives us today.

Now to Sánchez, who continues to look shaky in the second half (5.67 ERA, 1.47 WHIP, 8% K-BB, 4.19 xERA over 6 GS), and today he's drawing a road start against a Snakes side that has now put up 6.6 runs per game over their last 15 games. The Matchups tool rates Sánchez as pretty middle-of-the-pack, but this one looks like it has the potential to turn uglier. In his last start on Tuesday v the Dodgers, Sanchez allowed one run on five hits but he struck out just two over six innings while posting a lucky strand rate of 83.3%. Since July 4, Sanchez has been struggling to fool hitters with just a 5.67 K/9 and he looks to be prime fade material down.
