Logan Gilbert (RHP - SEA) took the loss Sunday against the Phillies in a game he pitched well in, but his quality is not the focus here, as that would be the Mariners bats, which are as limp as they come. That was Gilbert's third straight loss, and even if he pitches well again today, there is little reason to believe the M’s are going to put together the scoring necessary to cash a ticket.

Sean Manaea (LHP - NYM) is seeking to stay in fine form as he receives a favorable matchup with these Mariners averaging just 3.5 runs per game at home. As for Manaea, five of his last seven have resulted in gems, and he is pitching great over that stretch (2.27 ERA, 0.98 WHIP, 46 K in 44 IP). Finally, right-handed batters have a tough time solving him with just a .203 BA and .599 OPS, and the M’s have a righty-heavy lineup.
