The Orioles were desperate for pitching help at the trade deadline, which led them to Trevor Rogers (LHP - BAL), who got lit up in his first start in his new digs. Rogers is now 2-10 after starting for the Marlins to begin the season, and it does not appear that a change of scenery is going to turn around his fortune. Rogers got blasted by the Guardians last Thursday to the tune of five runs on six hits with three walks and three strikeouts over 4.1 IP in Cleveland. Rogers' spot in the back end of the O’s rotation is shaky at best, as he brings the highest xERA on the board today (5.12) into this start with just 88 Ks in 109.2 innings with 49 walks and a weak swing-and-miss rate of 8.9%, his career low. Oh by the way, the Blue Jays are the third most disciplined team in the majors v LHP. You might not find a weaker favorite than Rogers today. Attack.
