7:45 PM EST. Taj Bradley (RHP - TB) is coming off a loss last Wednesday to the Marlins, where he gave up four runs on four hits over 5 IP, where he struck out six and walked just one. Prior to that less-than-ideal outing, Bradley hadn’t allowed more than two runs in nine straight trips to the bump (55 IP), where he posted a 0.82 ERA and a 0.89 WHIP and a 30.8% K-rate, with opposing hitters going just .161 against him. On the year, his numbers are still stellar, with a 1.01 WHIP and 103 Ks in 86.1 IP.

Erik Fedde (RHP - CWS) was one of the few bright spots and a nice surprise for the White Sox this season, but his move to St. Louis could not have gone worse, as he allowed five runs on six hits over five innings against the Cubs last Friday. Those five runs were a season high for Fedde, and he’s now allowed five home runs in his last three starts, which is as many as he gave up in his prior 13 turns. A potential reason for the downturn is that Fedde’s velocity is down, with his sinker averaging just 92.4 MPH vs. the Cubbies. We actually like Fedde’s game, and if he was an underdog, this would be a much different story. However, Fedde is favored, and he’s the second-best pitcher in this matchup.
