6:40 PM EST. The Guardians are going to send out Tanner Bibee (RHP - CLE) to the bump tonight, who has faced the Tigers in two of his last three starts. In a turn on July 10, Bibee took the loss, giving up four runs on five hits over 7 IP. In his last start last Wednesday, also versus the Tigers, Bibee had to leave early after cramping. While he appears to be ready to go here, Bibee has struggled with Detroit, as he is 0-3 with a 5.84 ERA in five career starts against the Tigers.

Jack Flaherty’s (RHP - DET) days in Detroit could be numbered, but he’ll get at least one more start for the Tigers tonight. Flaherty has been great in July, allowing just 3 ER over three starts (17.2 innings). In his last turn last Wednesday, Flaherty held the Guardians to just one unearned run on three hits over six innings where he struck out six. That was the fifth time this season that he had not allowed an earned run, which lowered his ERA to 2.95. That surface number is legit, too, as his xERA is just 2.94, as are his 133 Ks (elite swing & miss rate of 14.1%) to 19 BBs in 106.2 IP. As an underdog at home, Flaherty is a tremendous value play.
