San Diego -1½ over Seattle

6:40 PM EST. The Padres are 49-46, and they sit 7½ games back of the Dodgers in the National League West while also being in the thick of it for one of the three Wild Card spots where they are just over the cut line in the last WC position, just 1½ games up on the Mets and 1½ games back of the Cardinals and 4½ back of the Braves. For some perspective of just how competitive the NL Wild Card race is, all but the Rockies (15½ back) and Marlins (15 back) are still in it.

The Friars will go with Michael King (RHP - SD), who is coming off a win last Thursday where he pitched 5.1 innings of one-run ball versus the World Series Champion Rangers. He generated 13 swinging strikes and finished with an elite 34 percent called and swinging strike rate (CSW). King, who was a piece of the Juan Soto trade with the Yankees, has now allowed one earned run or less in six of his last eight starts, and he draws a Mariners team that is dead last in the bigs in average (.217) and just 27th in runs scored despite leading the American League West by 2 games.

The M’s will go with Bryce Miller (RHP - SEA) who gave up two runs on eight hits over 5.2 IP vs. Baltimore on Thursday. Miller benefited greatly from a lucky 92.1% strand rate in that start, as the hard-hitting O’s run output was limited despite ample opportunities. Coming into that turn, Miller had lost two straight, and over his last six starts (32.1 IP), Miller has given up 33 hits and 19 ER with 26 Ks to 10 BBs in that time. The Mariners struggle to hit and score runs, and last night's 8-run outburst to win the opener of this series is the exception and not the rule. Friars on the run line is where the value lies here.

Pinnacle takes some of the lowest fees on all users’ bets, meaning it’s able to offer some of the best value odds on the market. Compared to other major, well-known sportsbooks, Pinnacle offers superior average odds pricing. Pinnacle’s low betting margins and high betting limits is the best in the biz and will save you thousands of dollars over your betting life.

For instance, a baseball game at most sportsbooks has 20 to 25 cent margins

Arizona     -150

Detroit      +125

That’s a 25 cent margin but at Pinnacle, it’ll be an 9 cent margin (see example)

Arizona       -145

Detroit    +134

If you bet on sports daily, Pinnacle is a must have because of their low margins.
