Washington -1½ over St. Louis

4:05 PM EST. The Cardinals' stock is trending upwards as they’ve won seven of their last 10 games and two of three in this series, including an 8-3 victory yesterday. Today, the Red Birds will send Mike Mikolas (RHP - STL), who came away with a no-decision last Wednesday where he gave up two runs on five hits over 6 IP. It was a solid start, but Mikolas has been up and down all year, as the 10-run disaster he pitched prior supports. On the year, Mikolas has an xERA of 4.22 and just 72 Ks in 100.2 IP, and his swing-and-miss rate is at its lowest in a decade at a puny 6.7%.

The Nationals will answer with Mitchell Parker (LHP - WAS), who has been lights out at home in his rookie campaign. In six starts at Nationals Park, he is 3-0 with a 3.11 ERA, 0.82 WHIP, and a 29/2 K/BB ratio in 38 IP. The opposing Cardinals are a nice matchup for him as they struggle versus left-handed pitching with just a .222 BA and .624 OPS. With a total of 9½, there figure to be some runs plated tonight, and at this price, there is tremendous value in the Nats to cover the run line.

Pinnacle takes some of the lowest fees on all users’ bets, meaning it’s able to offer some of the best value odds on the market. Compared to other major, well-known sportsbooks, Pinnacle offers superior average odds pricing. Pinnacle’s low betting margins and high betting limits is the best in the biz and will save you thousands of dollars over your betting life.

For instance, a baseball game at most sportsbooks has 20 to 25 cent margins

Arizona     -150

Detroit      +125

That’s a 25 cent margin but at Pinnacle, it’ll be an 9 cent margin (see example)

Arizona       -145

Detroit    +134

If you bet on sports daily, Pinnacle is a must have because of their low margins.
