Spencer Schwellenbach is not the target here, but we’ll point out that he (RHP - ATL) hung the best start of his young career in his last outing vs. Detroit: a beauty effort, with 7 K/2 BB in 6 IP, and a 19% SwK%. Sample sizes are small, but Schwellenbach's control and his GB tilt seem to be taking root as he settles into the rotation.

Meanwhile, Lance Lynn (RHP - STL) was fortunate to come away with a no-decision in Tuesday's 9-8 extra-inning loss to the Marlins, where he was lit up for six runs on 10 hits over 5.1 IP. Lynn gave up 14 hard-hit balls and had an average exit velocity of 95 MPH. He did get 10 whiffs on 27 swings with his fastball on Tuesday, but none of his other pitches were particularly effective. That start was the first Lynn managed to complete five innings this month, and he's stumbled to a 6.11 ERA, 1.70 WHIP, and 20/7 K/BB through 17.2 IP over four starts. Our fade on this stiff continues.
