2:15 PM EST. Lance Lynn (RHP - STL) is back out for the Cardinals today, and we’re not going to miss another opportunity to fade this stiff. Lynn was fortunate to not factor into the decision vs. the Rockies on Friday after he gave up four runs on six hits over 4 IP. On the surface, Lynn sports an ERA of 3.58, but his xERA is nearly a run higher at 4.30. He also has a 1.38 WHIP with a middling 63 K to 27 BB strikeout-to-walk ratio and a 9% swing-and-miss rate, which is down 3% from 2023 to its lowest since 2017.

As for the Pirates, they’ll go with Mitch Keller (RHP - PIT), who earned the win Friday over Minnesota, where he pitched six scoreless innings, punching out eight and walking just two. That was the sixth straight win for Keller, and he has not allowed more than two earned runs in that span. Across those 39.2 IP, Keller has 35 Ks to 7 BBs, and he sports an xERA of just 2.47, and he’s allowed just a .226 average to opposing hitters. A coin flip this is not, and all the value is on the visiting Pirates.
