Washington over Detroit

6:40 PM EST. Jake Irvin (RHP - WAS) is having a great season and has been dominant in his last four starts. He has allowed four earned runs over 24.1 innings pitched with 26 strikeouts and a 22.8% K-BB rate. Irvin takes on the Tigers in Detroit, who have a 22.5% K% versus RHP over the past month while hitting .240. In his last start on Friday vs. the Braves, Irvin threw six shutout innings and picked up the win. He has now thrown 14 scoreless innings in two starts against Atlanta this year, allowing just six hits while logging 14 strikeouts. That win was his fourth of the season, and Irvin has now gone eight starts without allowing more than 2 ER. Irvin’s ERA is down to 3.12, his xERA is 3.15, and he has a K:BB ratio of 64:14 in 75 IP.

On the other hand, Reese Olson (RHP - DET) took the loss Friday against the Brewers, where he allowed eight runs on 12 hits over 4 IP. The 24-year-old righty has now allowed 13 runs over his last 9.1 IP across two starts. Olson has 58 Ks to 21 BBs in 65.2 IP this season, and if he were an underdog, he might have some appeal, but tonight he’s the chalk. This is a 50/50 proposition at worst, and we’re not passing up the value to be had on the Nats.

Pinnacle takes some of the lowest fees on all users’ bets, meaning it’s able to offer some of the best value odds on the market. Compared to other major, well-known sportsbooks, Pinnacle offers superior average odds pricing. Pinnacle’s low betting margins and high betting limits is the best in the biz and will save you thousands of dollars over your betting life.

For instance, a baseball game at most sportsbooks has 20 to 25 cent margins

Arizona     -150

Detroit      +125

That’s a 25 cent margin but at Pinnacle, it’ll be an 9 cent margin (see example)

Arizona       -145

Detroit    +134
