7:10 PM EST. Tanner Bibee (RHP - CLE) has allowed three earned runs or less in his last five starts with 32 strikeouts over 29.2 innings pitched. He heads into Great American Ball Park today to take on a Reds team that is striking out 25.5% of the time versus RHP over the past month. In his last start on Thursday, Bibee allowed three runs (two earned) and a walk over five innings in a no-decision vs. Kansas City, where he struck out seven Royals. Bibee now has seven strikeouts in back-to-back outings while pitching to a 2.12 ERA over his last five starts. On the year, Bibee has a 3.73 ERA with an xERA of 3.44 while posting a nice 1.19 WHIP and a nice 76:19 K:BB ratio through 70 IP.

The Reds had been on a tear, winning eight games in a row, but they have now lost two in a row. Nick Lodolo (RHP - CIN) and his sparkling 2.92 ERA are drawing some attention in the market, but we are selling him today, as his xERA sits higher at 3.54. Since returning from injury three starts ago, Lodolo has an ERA of 2.08, but his xERA over those 17.1 IP is 4.38, and he has a lucky 93.8% strand rate while posting just a 6.75 K/9 strike rate, which is 3 K/9 lower than his season average. There are cracks showing here, and the Guardians are an elite team that is primed to take advantage. So, we are going for the kill and playing Cleveland to win by -1½ (or the reverse run line).
