4:10 PM EST. Michael Wacha's (RHP - SD) 5-1 record sparkles, but it is not supported by his quality of play this season. We're not saying Wacha has been terrible; in fact, he's fine, but he's not priced like he's fine. Wacha brings a 3.48 ERA into his 12th start, but his xERA is 4.53, and he's the second-best pitcher in this matchup.

The Mariners will go with George Kirby (RHP - SEA), who will make his 12th start of the season. Kirby has pedigree as a former first-round pick, and he built a reputation as one of the best strike throwers in baseball on his way to the big leagues. Kirby is in his sophomore season in Seattle, and thus far, he's not looked out of place. Through his 71 innings pitched in 2023, Kirby sports a 3.04 ERA that is backed up by an xERA of 3.22. What's most impressive about Kirby's season so far is his ability to limit walks, with just six free passes in total. Kirby's very tidy WHIP of 1.01 sums up his quality. Wrong side favored.
