3:40 PM EST. Connor Seabold (RHP - COL) is back in the rotation for Colorado due to the Rockies rotation looking like The Walking Dead. Seabold possesses an arsenal of pitches that includes a fastball, slider, changeup, and curveball, and he's known for his strong command. When at his best, Seabold has the ability to locate his pitches effectively and induce weak contact. All that said, Seabold matters not, as this is a fade on his opposition this afternoon.

We understand that the Road Rockies aren’t very good but we care not, as Zachary Davies (RHP - ARI) cannot be priced like he’s Zac Gallen. Davies is making his second start off the IL (oblique). Last season Davies mostly reversed 2021's collapse, albeit without major skill changes. He shaved a few walks and hard hit balls, but in truth this was just a case of the hit%/strand% gods finding his sacrificial offering acceptable this year, after they belched it back at him last year. That's life for a sub-90 mph, pitch-to-contact type. Know that risks spotting prices like this with a starter like Davies is extremely high. In 13 innings this year, he has walked 8 batters and struck out 10 with a swing and miss rate of 5.3%. That’s pitiful. Incidentally, Colorado has notched a .785 OPS since May 15 and current Colorado bats own an aggregate .881 OPS against Davies.
