8:05 PM EST. Karl Kauffmann (RHP - COL) will pitch for the Rockies tonight as they search for help in the rotation. Kauffmann possesses a plethora of pitches, including both a 2-seam and 4-seam fastball, as well as a low-90s sinker and a sweeping slider. He has the ability to generate ground balls and throw strikes at an above-average rate. That bodes well for Kauffmann's performance in the challenging pitching environment at home at Coors Field and at hitter's parks like Globe Life Field in Arlington.

The Rangers will go with Martin Perez (LHP - TEX), who, for lack of a better cliché, "is what he is". Perez is fine when he is an underdog, but when favored in this range, he is a must-fade. Perez looks good on paper with his 2.41 ERA over six starts. However, he has encountered a rough patch in May with an 11.42 ERA in his last two outings. Perez also has a favorable 81.0% strand rate with an xERA of 5.49. As a favorite in this range, Perez has to be faded.
