8:10 PM EST. Ryan Feltner (RHP - COL) surprisingly might be worth a look here. Behind his ugly 5.08 ERA and 1.48 WHIP is an above-average strikes/balls thrown percentage, a 13%-point jump in his first-pitch strike rate, and a three-point reduction in his ball percentage. His so-so ability to generate swings-and-misses (9.6% caps his ceiling, but his underlying skills suggest there are good games in his arsenal. That said this is A fade on Ranger Suarez (LHP - PHI) and the Phillies, who won the opener here last night but were outhit 10-7.

Suarez landed on the 15-day injured list with tightness in his left forearm before making one start at Double-AA and two starts at Triple-AAA. He’ll now make his first start of the season at Coors of all places. First off, Suarez struck out one batter in two innings at Double-AA and just four batters in seven frames at Triple-AAA. That’s concerning if you’re backing the Phillies here. Suarez had an outstanding season in 2021 (1.36 ERA) followed by a good 2022 (3.65 ERA). Batters are becoming more familiar with him and now he’s six weeks behind everyone. Aside from that, Suarez still has work to do vR (10% BB%, 13 of 15 HR allowed in 2022). While rotation spot looks secure, seems more likely to tread water than take a big step forward and this isn’t the greatest place to make your season debut at.
