Colorado -1½ +240 over San Diego

8:10 PM EST. The Padres aren’t in sunny California anymore. When the first pitch gets thrown, it’ll be down to about 63 degrees in Colorado and that’s not comfortable for baseball players unless you play in Minnesota or Colorado. We’re not sure how the Padres bats will fare but the colder weather doesn’t figure to help them. Furthermore, we do not play money lines at this park. It’s the run line or reverse run line only and the reverse applies here.

Sean Manaea (RHP - SD) is one of baseball’s most overrated starters. He seemed gassed in August (5.40 ERA) and even more gassed in September with an ERA of 7.40. This is a pattern we have seen before too. Last year for example, Manaea posted an ERA of 8.09 in August and September. Between lack of overpowering stuff, low spin rates, and how much he's around the plate, he will never be a true ace or a #2 but he sure is priced like it almost every time he takes the hill. Sean Manaea is extremely hittable and in this park, that’s not a good look.

Ryan Feltner (RHP - COL) is our favorite underdog Colorado pitcher because he’s cashed in as a home dog many times and looked good doing so. This kid can outright dominate when he’s on but he is erratic enough that we can get some great prices on him like the one we see here. The Rockies' constant shuttling of Feltner between Triple-A and the majors this season probably hasn't helped him do his best work, but he’s been getting consistent starts for two months running and that at least gives him some peace that he’ll be run out there every five days at least until the end of the season. In any event, this is more of a fade on Manaea to get bashed by Colorado, ala the Coors Field angle.
