Since coming over from the Angels, who have not played a meaningful game of baseball in months, “Thor” has not been good. In his last start against Miami, Syndergaard gave up two runs on six hits over six innings striking out just four. In his first Philly start, “Thor” was tagged for four earned runs on 11 hits over five innings with only two punchouts. Not quite what the Phils were likely hoping for when they traded for him. Strip away the moniker and the reputation and what you have is a struggling pitcher spotting a significant road price. Yes, please.
