1:40 PM EST. Aaron Nola (RHP - PHI), needs little introduction as the Phillies ace. Nola has been his usual fantastic self this season sporting a tidy xERA of just 2.91, which is lower than his surface number. He’s also walking fewer batters than ever before with just a 1.14 BB/9. In his 118.1 innings pitched this season, Nola has issued just 15 free passes. 15! While also striking out 127. Somehow those numbers were not good enough for Nola to get an All-Star bid, but we’ll trust he’ll take that snub in stride and unload on the Marlins this afternoon.

Trevor Rogers (LHP - MIA) is must-fade material at this point and we are no longer going to hold back when he is on the mound. Rogers is just 5-12 this year and he has been at his worst at home where he sports an inflated 7.27 ERA in eight starts in Miami. Last time out, Rogers gave up three runs on six hits over 5.1 innings in a loss to the Pirates. Walks have been a major issue for Rogers this season, as he sports an awful 4.50 BB/9. There is much not to like about Rogers, but we’ll leave it there for now. This will not be the last time you see him in this space.
