L.A. Dodgers -1½ +105 over St. Louis

7:15 PM EST. Tyler Anderson (LHP - LAD), is a what you see is what you get kind of pitcher and that's a good thing. His ERA and xERA are nearly identical at 3.15 and 3.16, respectively. Dude hardly ever issues a fee pass with a 4.1% walk rate or BB%. A very tidy WHIP of 1.03 backs up his stinginess on the mound. Anderson brings an elite swing & miss rate of 12.8% to the bump with him as well. Let’s just say he checks a lot of our boxes.

The Cardinals blew a 6-0 lead yesterday, dropping a 7-6 decision to these Dodgers. Who is going to feel good about going to the ballpark today? In that spectacular blow up, St. Louis burned through five bullpen arms after starter Adam Wainwright left the game after 5.1 innings.

Dakota Hudson (RHP - STL) will try and pick his teammates up after they gave away the game yesterday. Hudson has been one of the luckiest pitchers in baseball this season. It’s actually quite remarkable that he’s still getting run out there every fifth day. In his 90 innings pitched across 17 starts this season, Hudson has struck out just 50 and has walked 41. His swing & miss rate is a dismal 7.1%, his first-pitch strike rate is a career low 58.4%. We’re not going to let up on fading Hudson, as it’s only a matter of time before he is shuffled out to pasture.
