Baltimore -1½ +238 over Seattle.

7:10 PM EST. Man, are results easy to play. We’re kicking ourselves for not playing the Orioles yesterday in the opener of this series but we’re not going to miss out today. You see, it’s about time we started paying more attention to the great value on the O’s.

Playing in a division with Tampa, the Yanks, Boston and Toronto, Baltimore is five games under .500 at 35-40. That’s pretty remarkable considering they were projected to lose over 100 games. Baltimore just keeps on winning with a pesky lineup with great chemistry and enthusiasm. No team is having more fun that these Orioles. Baltimore is 11-5 over its past 16 games and that includes 7 games combined against Toronto and Tampa in which they went 4-3.

Dean Kremer (RHP - BAL) has made four starts covering just 21 innings but he has shown outstanding command. He displayed solid control in the upper levels of the minor leagues too so it’s legit. Kremer came over from the Dodgers in the Manny Machado trade in July 2018. He was originally a reliever in the Dodgers organization before moving to the rotation in 2018. He possesses four pitches with his fastball and curveball being the best of the bunch. His fastball, thrown with easy arm action from a high ¾ slot, sits between 90-94 mph and can reach 96 on occasion. It features arm-side run which can be effective against lefties. Kremer’s best pitch is his curveball. It is his swing-and-miss offering and has allowed him to be among minor league baseball’s top strikeout artists the past two seasons. A velo jump, improved fastball command, and the rejuvenation of the Orioles brings Kremer onto the under-the radar landscape.

Robbie Ray (LHP - SEA) really sputtered to begin the season, as only one of his first 12 starts resulted in a pure quality start. He has turned it around lately with each of his last three resulting in pure quality, as he has allowed just two earned runs in his last 20 innings. We don’t care because Ray has had plenty of awful starts this year including one against these Orioles. Aside from that, Seattle is below average on their best day while the Orioles cannot wait to PLAY BALL!
