Kansas City +150 over San Francisco

9:45 PM EST. The Giants are coming off an emotional series with the hated Dodgers and now the pitiful Royals are staring them in the face. Is it reasonable for San Francisco to get as jacked up for this Monday game as they did for a just completed three-game weekend set with the Dodgers. Very unlikely. It’s a long season and not all games or series are created equal.

Alex Wood (LHP - SF) will take his turn for the Giants and he’s coming off a solid start against the Rockies, but prior to that, he took three straight losses to the Marlins, Reds and Padres. As we said though, this play has less to do with him but rather catching the Giants in a letdown spot after a heated series with the Dodgers. That we get to back a solid starter is just a bonus.

Brady Singer (RHP - KC) is one of the game's better buy-low SP among young starters. Underneath his 4.33 ERA has been an elite 3.13 xERA. Going one level deeper, he has shown good command (23% K-BB%) and an elite groundball tilt (61%) against RHers, attributes that have produced a 2.95 xERA against them. Only five starters have shown better skills against righties than Singer. Singer was solid last time out against the hard-hitting Blue Jays and there’s no reason he can’t duplicate his strong performances here in a massive letdown spot for the Giants.
