He threw five innings on May 22 against the Royals and surrendered three hits and one run. Five days later, Ober didn't factor into the decision in Minnesota’s 10-7 win over the Royals, giving up three runs on five hits and a walk over three innings. He struck out five. Ober has been a pleasant surprise to start 2022, putting up a 3.25 ERA, 25 K and 7 BB in 28.2 IP. However, his 5.10 xERA says there will be a correction coming real soon. Ober has a very alarming batting ball profile of 23% grounders, 29% line-drives and 48% fly-outs.

Tarik Skubal (LHP - DET) cannot be an underdog at home here. Dude has a BB/K split of 9/55 over 52 innings with all the supporting skills to back it up. Throw in an ERA/xERA split of 1.45/2.44. He’s a future ace if he isn’t one already and that’s all we have to say about that.
