Alcarez/Paul over 3.5 sets (-163 at 888Sport)

10:00 AM EST (Tuesday). This price on this over is far too cheap - we could end the write-up after that sentence. Carlos Alcarez is who he is and if you don't know who Alcarez is, you probably shouldn't be betting on men's tennis. The prodigy is the #3 ranked player at Wimbledon but only second behind Jannik Sinner as the favorite to win another Grand Slam title. Arguably the most crafty and talented player in the world right now, the Spaniard has looked fantastic in London, fresh off a trophy at the French Open, but his opponent is a very serious threat to his chances of winning again on Centre Court. Predicting zero winning sets for Alcarez would be akin to predicting snow at the equator - it's very, VERY unlikely.

Tommy Paul has arguably never had a better stretch of tennis than what we've seen the last few months. Coming off a win at the Queen's Club Championships, Paul tore through the formidable Roberto Bautista Agut in the fourth round, and he only lost 3 sets in his first four matches in London. And he only seems to be getting better. Paul hasn't dropped a set in his last two battles, pummeling dangerous guys like Alexander Bublik and Bautista Agut, winning 37 of 56 games along the way. Paul's aggressive returns and pristine baseline movement is the combination any contender needs to rival Alcarez, and it helps that Paul and Alcarez are tied 2-2 in previous showdowns; the American will not be shaken by the Spaniard's aura. We just can't imagine each of these studs not winning a set.
