6:00 PM EST. The Elks are on a roll, especially where it matters most—the pay window. Edmonton has won three of its last four games, but it has covered four games in a row, which in the market will get you noticed, especially when the team on the other side of the field is just 1-3 Against the Spread (ATS) in its last four.

That team on this Labour Day, of course, is the Stampeders, the Elks' arch-rivals. Calgary has also gone just 1-3 overall in its last four, which is not going to inspire the masses. There was a time earlier this season when the Stamps' stock was on the rise after starting the year on a 5-1 run ATS, but those days are long gone.

We’ll save the breakdown of the X’s and O’s here for the talking heads, as this game is simply a “buy low, sell high” situation in which the Elks' stock is up and the Stamps' stock is down. Furthermore, this line opened with the Stamps spotting -3½ points despite that contrast in recent ATS records, and the market pounced on that number, which has dropped to the price you now see posted. The market has spoken, and the market may cash this ticket, but all the value here is on the Stamps spotting deflated points.
