First up, the Elks must be wondering what they have to do to get some respect in this market, as their three-game winning streak is being picked apart by the talking heads. Also being disrespected is quarterback McLeod Bethel-Thompson, who is going to start this game with Tre Ford listed as questionable with a chest injury. There was a time when “MBT” was one of the best QBs in this league, but his stock is low, and he is in the shadow of Montreal’s Cody Fajardo, who returns tonight for the defending Grey Cup champions after missing four games with a hamstring injury.

Fajardo’s return has come with much hype, as the Alouettes are 9-1 and seemingly didn’t miss a beat without him. However, the fact that the Als played so well without Fajardo speaks to their talent as a team, and it may be easier said than done to just insert him into a lineup that has been rolling under Davis Alexander, who looks to be legit after rising from the depths as the third-string pivot. Regardless, there is an overreaction in the market to Fajardo coming back this week, and that is a market inefficiency that we hope to capitalize on. The prudent play here is to take back the inflated points with the Elks in a game that they are very much capable of winning outright
