Montreal -3 over Saskatchewan

7:30 PM EST. Late money is coming in on Saskatchewan as the 5-1 Roughriders are coming off a 19-9 win over rival Winnipeg last Saturday, but now they head to Montreal on a short week. That creates a potential letdown spot for the Roughriders here, despite this being a battle of one-loss teams.

The main catalyst for that late money is the loss of Alouettes QB Cody Fajardo, who used to play in Sasky, hitting the 6-game injured list in advance of this game. There is no doubt an overreaction to that news in the market, as Caleb Evans will get his first start of the season. The Riders are without their starter as well, but Shea Patterson has won games for them in relief and is a more trusted commodity in the market at the moment. Not to mention, recent results loom large with the Als having lost to Toronto in Week 6. Montreal is coming off the bye and has had plenty of time to lick its wounds from that first defeat. This one checks quite a few boxes, and we're going to jump in with a late wager on the Als. Swallow the points.
