Toronto -105 over Hamilton
7:30 PM EST. This is the third game in four weeks between these two sides, with the season series sitting at 1-1 after the Tiger-Cats drew even after a 34-27 win in Week 10. You may recall the Tabbies were without starting quarterback Dane Evans in that game and were forced to go with Matthew Shiltz under center. The market reacted to the loss of Evans as you’d expect, by pounding the Argos, as they had a clear advantage at the league’s most important position. That line moved as many as three points in that game, moving the underdog Argos into the favorite role.
Fast forward to Week 12, and the Ti-Cats will welcome Evans back to the pivot position. With Evans back in the lineup, those that were burned in Week 10 appear to be ready for some revenge, as this line has now moved from the Tabbies being the pooch to the favorite in some shops. Hmm. Sounds familiar.
We are not going to break down the X’s and O’s here, you can get that from many other sources. Instead, we are going to reiterate our mantra of “going with the best of it.” We don’t know who is going to win the turnover battle tonight. We don’t know who is going to have more penalties. We don’t know who has a tummy ache. These are variables that cannot be predicted. We are going to trust our process of taking back more points than we should be and then let those chips fall where they may. Toronto is the value play here, no doubt. We hope to see you at the pay window.
