7:05 PM EST. Regulation only. The Panthers are a scary team when they get good goaltending and they’re certainly capable of winning any game but this is a horrible scheduling spot for them and it’s not like they’re playing some weak, unmotivated team. The Panthers will play the final game of a five-game trip here and that’s after playing the first four on the Canadian West Coast in Edmonton, Vancouver, Calgary and Winnipeg, respectively.  HL players have called the annual trip to the Canadian West Coast the most difficult one of the year. When they refer to that, it’s usually a three-game trip but this time around, the Panthers played the full circuit and it’s not even the last game of said trip. The Panthers now have to travel back east to Toronto. They looked somewhat lethargic in Winnipeg and we can’t imagine that they’ll be sharper or more energetic here. We also like that this line dropped quite a bit from the opener and that makes the Leafs very worthy of playing in regulation plus a tiny tag. Any tag here in regulation is a steal.
