Atlantic Coast Conference Tournament - Barclays Center - Brooklyn, New York

7:00 PM EST. As the only ACC school to take out #1 Virginia this season, Virginia Tech is getting some love as a dark horse in the tournament, but we cannot ignore the fact that Tech played one of the easiest non-conference schedules in the nation according to KenPom (344th out of 351 ranked schools). The Hokies have also been frostbitten by a cold run of shooting from a pair of their best guards with Justin Bibbs going just 15-of-45 over his last four games and Ahmed Hill, who averages over 11-points a night scoring just 28 total points in his last nine. When you're playing poorly it's very had to just flip a switch to get back on track. Regardless of what happens in the ACC tournament, the Hokies are going dancing, at least if ESPN's Bracketology expert Joe Lunardi is to be believed. V-Tech is currently slotted into a #8 seed in the NCAA Tournament which means they are not on the bubble. Know that it might be hard for Va Tech to match the intensity of a Fighting Irish side that is still playing for their tournament lives.

Notre Dame's first round of this ACC tournament didn't quite go how oddsmakers predicted, as the Irish got a good second half scare from a 17-point underdog in Pitt, but finished the Panthers off in a 67-64 decision. Notre Dame is still a team trying to find itself after getting back a legit lottery pick in Bonzie Colson, who had 18-points in yesterday's contest. That game was just Colson's third back in the lineup after he missed two months with an injury. While yesterday's result was closer than they may have wanted, being pushed by a winless Pitt squad should serve the Irish well, as they totally took their foot off the gas and almost paid dearly for it. Anyone that bet the Irish -17 yesterday, as we did, will have a tough time coming back on them today, which actually works in our favor because we’re getting a deflated price. However, there is a chance that head coach Mike Brey called off the dogs yesterday afternoon in anticipation of this one. That the Irish should have whacked the Panthers but didn't is something that usually resonates and influences  the market but we urge you to wipe it from your mind. The Irish now go from a huge double-digit fav to barely a pick 'em and we have to wonder what this line would’ve been if Notre Dame blew out Pitt as expected? Joe Lunardi currently has the Irish as one of his first four teams out, unless they get the job done today. We're willing to bet they do just that.
