7:30 PM EST. Texas Tech is in the midst of a seven-game winning streak that now has it sitting atop the Big 12 with five games to play. An 88-78 win over ranked Oklahoma last time out will likely carry some weight in the market, but it's been open season on the Sooners as of late. While the Red Raiders current run looks great, they've been beating up on the weaker teams in their conference, as only Kansas State, who they whacked 66-47, has a winning record against its Big 12 brothers. OU, ISU, TCU, Texas and Ok. St. are all under .500 in conference play. Bringing a regular season title home to Lubbock would be huge for Tech, as it's an accomplishment it has not yet achieved. At 10-3, there are only two teams that can catch TTU. Conference mainstays Kansas and new kids on the block West Virginia (who joined the B-12 in 2012), which are one and two games back respectively are the chasers. The Red Raiders will have their shot to bury both of those teams in about a week, but before that, the #6 team in the nation will have to avoid a letdown on the road in a situation play that favors the home side.

Baylor is 6-8 in Big 12 play and 16-10 overall. Those numbers aren't likely going to get the Bears an at-large bid to go dancing, but there is still time to make a case to the selection committee before the Big 12 Tournament begins. Also, Baylor is 1-4 in games decided by 3-points or less, all against the Big 12, so this team could be near the top of the standings had a few bounces gone its way. The Bears have three games left against ranked competition and are hitting their stride at the right time of the season. Baylor has been on a tear that has seen them win four straight games, the highlight of which came at home against the #13 Jayhawks in an 80-64 win at home in Waco last Saturday. This line today sticks out like a sore thumb. The Bears got blasted by Texas Tech 77-53 in late December, which should only make this small number that much more appealing to a market that over values ranked teams playing unranked competition. However, the Bears have been playing like their season is on the line every night, and it is. Baylor catches Tech at the perfect time, as there are only two more games on the Red Raiders schedule that matter, and this isn't one of them. Bears outright is the call.
