7:00 PM EST. The Cowboys have three signature wins in their last seven games. However, while W's over ranked West Virginia, Kansas, and Oklahoma look great on a tournament resume, it's the four straight up losses over that same span that spark our interest. After coming off big wins over the Sooners and Jayhawks, the Cowboys immediately laid an egg the next night out, and in the case of the Oklahoma game, it was a seven-day hangover that resulted in defeats at the hands of Texas Tech, Arkansas, and TCU respectively. This year's edition of Oklahoma State has struggled during Big 12 play with just a 5-7 record. It's been a rude awakening for a squad that went 10-3 during non-conference play, but the Cowboys were chewing the fat while battling a weak scheduled that ranked just 305th in the nation before they played their first Big 12 game. It may appear Okie State is taking a big step down in competition here after battling the likes of WVU, and perhaps it is, but there is a reason oddsmakers have only asked this team to spot points a pair of times since conference play began. The Cowboys are not as strong as most of their Big 12 brothers and tonight is no different.

Flatout, the wrong side is favored in this game, but recent results have forced oddsmakers to post the Wildcats as the pooch tonight. K-State has lost three of its last four games and got whacked by double-digits in all three defeats including a 66-47 beatdown at the hands of Texas Tech last time out. Those lopsided results will no doubt sway the market away from the Wildcats, as they are taking back just a handful of points tonight after failing to cover as a small dog in those three blowout losses. The biggest reason for K-State's recent struggles has been its poor shooting from the floor, averaging just 36.8% from the field in its last five games. The Wildcats season average is 46.9%, which puts them in the top 50 (Okie State is 179th for reference), so a correction is likely coming. K-State is one of just four Big 12 teams that have a winning record on the road (5-3). The Wildcats are very much on the bubble and are currently slotted in the First Four of CBS' bracket predictions this week (the Cowboys are nowhere to be found). Tonight is the rare opportunity we get to take back a price with the superior squad, and we will not pass it up. Wildcats outright is the bet.
