2:00 PM EST.  The NEC is a conference that the market knows very little about but what is an absolute is that Wagner sits atop the conference with an 11-2 mark while the host is just 6-7 and is in seventh place. That plays right into our wheelhouse, as not all records are created equally, which we’ll elaborate on more in a minute. It should be noted that Wagner is pretty much on cruise control. It has a two-game lead on Mt St. Mary’s and will not play them until the final game of the regular season. Aside from that, they have beaten up on cupcakes all season both in conference and out with the 339th (out of 351) strength of schedule in the league. Spotting road points with this team against a quality outfit with a misleading record is very risky business, FDU is battle tested and they’ll be ready here.

The Farleigh Dickenson Knights played the 34th ranked non-conference schedule in the league. These two teams played a quality common non-conference opponent in Seton Hall. The Knights lost at Seton Hall by 22 while Wagner lost at Seton Hall by 21. It was near identical. However, the Knights also played Maryland, Rutgers, Princeton, and Penn State while Wagner’s toughest non-conference opponent after Seton Hall was Missouri in a game they lost by 40 points in. Farleigh also went into Wagner on January 6 and lost by just eight points. Wagner trailed that game at the half by three and led by four with three minutes remaining so it was that close. We now get that same battle tested team at home with significant points are we’re not about to miss it.
