7:00 PM EST. The Dukes of Duquesne have dropped two straight but are getting credit in the market for hanging around with ranked Rhode Island and covering as a 16½-point pooch. While that result looks nice on paper, it could have been so much more for Duquesne, as it led by as many as 15 and took a 6-point lead into the half before giving it all away. A cover might cash a ticket, but that result didn't likely do anything to make the Dukes feel any better about itself. Instead, they allowed a signature win to get away.

When the market looks at George Washington, it sees a team that just got whacked by the Bonnies 70-52. That lopsided result wasn't totally unexpected, as St. Bonaventure was a 10-point favorite. A closer look at the Colonials recent run also isn't likely to inspire bettors to walk up to the window and lay their dollars down. GW is just 1-6 over its last seven games with an average margin of defeat of well into double digits. One of those losses came at the hands of these Dukes 69-52 in a game the Colonials were actually favored in on the road in Pittsburgh.

After getting plastered by 17-points against the Dukes less than a month ago, we find it curious oddsmakers decided to make GW the betting favorite again tonight. The Colonials spent the entire month of January getting torched night after night. There might not be a less appealing team to spot points with on the board tonight, and that raises a major red flag. On top of all that, the Dukes come into this game with a winning record and off a good showing against URI. However, after letting the Rams off the hook on Saturday and flushing a signature win down the toilet, we have wonder what the Dukes' mindset will be tonight. The books aren't in the habit of giving money away and so while taking back points with what appears to be the superior squad might look like the prudent play, we're going to trust the lines makers got this one right. Eat the points.
