7:00 PM EST. #25 Michigan made it back to the polls last week, but went 1-1 in a pair of blowouts. The Wolverines got pounded at Nebraska 72-52 last Thursday, but then took their frustrations out on Rutgers in a 62-47 win on Saturday. We often stress how hard it is not just to win, but to play well on the road in the NCAA, and the Wolverines highlighted that fact again last week. Michigan's 82-72 win at Michigan State less than two weeks ago is still carrying a ton of credibility in a market that loves to back marquee programs. That Michigan is ranked might fill their fans and booster with pride, but in the market, blue blood programs ranked in the top-25 are often overvalued.

Purdue isn't sexy like Duke, Villanova, North Carolina, Kentucky or Kansas. Hell, the Boilermakers aren't even regarded in the same class as higher-profile mainstays in the Big Ten like Michigan State, Ohio State and of course Michigan. You don't hear anybody pining over the Old Gold and Black like they do Carolina Blue, but do not sleep on Purdue. It might seem strange to say the #3 team in America is being sold short, but that is the case tonight. These two teams played in Ann Arbour just over two weeks ago, and the Boilermakers escaped with a one-point victory, but we will not let that close result cloud the true discrepancy in talent between these two squads. Aside from that close game at Michigan, Purdue is kicking the living daylights out of anyone that steps in its way, especially at home in West Lafayette where it has won 13-straight games. The Boilermakers have won their last three games by an average of just over 28 points with two of those victories coming on the road in-conference at Minnesota and Iowa.

The Wolverines have been college basketball royalty for decades, thus 10-points with this high-profiled program is a price we rarely see offered and it is enticing. We’re urging you not to bite, as it is the chalk that’s being sold short. College roadies, especially in the middle of the week are tough because they disrupt routines and make everything else that these kids have to focus on outside of the game that much more difficult. Purdue has won 10 straight against the Big Ten dating back to last season. Michigan has been run through the ringer after eight games in 22 days in which it put up 70-points just once. How much do the Wolverines have left in the tank? Purdue is not the kind of team you want to try and find your offensive game against. Oddsmakers opened this line with the Boilermakers spotting 11½-points for a reason, and we trust their ability to get it a stronger read on a game than most of the betting public. When this one is final, we expect to be at the cashier’s cage.
