7:00 PM EST. The Hoosiers were on the wrong end of an 85-57 decision against Michigan State last time out. When you get beat by nearly 30-points on national television, the market takes notice, as this is just the second time this season that Indiana has been a dog at home. The other occasion came against Duke at the end of November. Since that 91-81 loss to the Blue Devils, the Hoosiers have gone 5-1 at Assembly Hall. That lone defeat to IUPU-Ft. Wayne might stand out like a sore thumb, but it came on the heels of a huge overtime win against Notre Dame in a high profile game that was played at Bankers Life Fieldhouse in Indianapolis. Before that blowout in East Lansing, the Hoosiers had ripped off three straight conference victories including back-to-back home wins over Penn State and Northwestern, with the latter coming by 20-points.

Maryland might look to be back on track after a double-digit home win over Minnesota, but after watching that game, we're not so sure. Although we backed the Terrapins and cashed a ticket that night, Maryland struggled with the undermanned Golden Gophers for 20-minutes before shooting an otherworldly 68% from the field in the second half to pull away and cover as an 8-point favorite. With a high profile home game with ranked Michigan State coming up on Sunday, this trip to Bloomington might be an afterthought.

This play is based on over and underreactions to how these two teams played this weekend, as that is the only way to justify the fact Maryland is favored in this spot. Before that win over Minny, the 'Terps had dropped two straight including three in a row on the road. The last time the Terrapins were spotting road points this season was at Illinois, which is the worst school in the Big Ten and Maryland lost outright. Winning on the road in college hoops is hard to do, and the 'Terps have been the poster boys for that all season. The Hoosiers are being disrespected on their home court and a home court it is, as Assembly Hall is one of the nation’s toughest venues for visitors to go into and emerge victorious. The wrong team is favored here so Indy outright gets our ringling endorsement.
