9:30 PM EST. The Timberwolves played in the most high profile game on the hardwood this week on Wednesday night in Cleveland. The eyes of the sports world watched, as the Cavs and T-Wolves traded the lead over 30 times and posted multiple offensive records including 19 three-pointers made by Minnesota and the most three-pointers in history in an NBA game. Offense sells and the market will be buying it up on the T-Wolves here. LeBron James' game-winning shot in overtime has been shown 1000 times over already and most of the pundits predict the T-Wolves will be seething after that loss to the Cavs. However, we saw Minnesota hit Cleveland with everything including the kitchen sink and have to wonder what the T-Wolves might have left in the tank tonight. The Bulls are slumping after losing seven straight, but when you trade your best players to rebuild, this is what you get. The "revenge" angle has been talked up as well, as Jimmy Butler and Taj Gibson will make their return to Chicago, but it's not like the Bulls did those guys wrong and sent them to the lowly Hawks or Mavericks. Instead, they and former Bulls head coach Tim Thibideau are in the middle of a playoff race and playing the best ball they've seen in Minneapolis since the early days of Kevin Garnett. These guys have nothing to be bitter about, as their former team wallows in the basement of the Eastern Conference. Also, note the late 9:30 PM EST start time, as this game will be nationally televised on ESPN, which should encourage the home side to show up.

This game fits our "buy low, sell high" philosophy to a T. The glory days of the Bulls are long gone and if not for Air Jordan's and retro jerseys they would have little to no market presence at all. Former Bulls GM Jerry Krause famously said "Players and coaches alone don't win championships. Organizations do," but after two decades of chasing the success of the Jordan years, owner Jerry Reinsdorf might regret breaking up basketball's Beatles before the party was over. This year's edition of the Bulls might be the worst we've seen since the 1980s. While the Timberwolves are enjoying a resurgence, it's not all rainbows and unicorns, as Minny has struggled on the road as of late. The T-Wolves have lost five straight outside The Gopher State. The Bulls have pulled off some nice upsets this season over Boston, Utah, Philadelphia and most recently Miami. This homecoming tonight might be the most important game this team plays in Chicago the rest of the season and it has a great shot to catch the T-Wolves is a bad spot after an exceptionally spirited effort in Cleveland.
