Mayweather -138 to win inside the distance over McGregor or

Mayweather to win by Ko, TKO or DQ (it's the same bet).

11:00 PM EST. This fight is not about a fight so let’s get that out of the way first. This fight is all about money for two guys that got together, came up with a brilliant marketing strategy to promote it and scheduled the fight to take place at the perfect time. Mayweather will collect an astonishing $100 million for the fight, with McGregor not far behind at $75 million. In addition to collecting a huge payday, the winner of the bout will receive a "Money Belt" made with alligator leather and encrusted with 1.5 kilograms of 24-karat gold, 3,360 diamonds, 600 sapphires and 300 emeralds. According to Deadline Hollywood, promoters of the fight could net between $700 million and $1 billion in pay-per-view revenue around the world from fans willing to shell out $99.95 for the right to see the bout. Revenue from ticket sales in the venue is expected to hit $92 million.

Floyd Mayweather was “coaxed” out of retirement to face McGregor. Again, these two guys came up with a gimmick and now they’re going to cash in record amounts that will set them both up for not one lifetime but 40 lifetimes. Roughly a decade ago, McGregor was a plumber’s assistant and today he’s going to earn 75 million and will likely never fight again after this one. This was a well-executed exit by McGregor and an even better one by Mayweather.

Mayweather is arguably considered the greatest boxer ever, especially of his weight range. Quick, terrific defensive fighter and yadda yadda yadda. But you, the common sports fan, know who Floyd Mayweather is because he wears sombreros to the ring to fight Hispanic opponents, because he throws around cash out of a book bag, because he is accompanied to the ring by every celebrity that he can get his hands on from rapper 50 Cent to Justin Bieber.

Then on April 6, 2013, the little known McGregor made his UFC debut, knocking out Marcus Brimage one minute and seven seconds into the fight. After the fight, McGregor took the microphone from announcer Kenny Florian and proclaimed “Dana, 60 g's baby!” That was his cry for a performance bonus for a contest he was paid just $8,000 in show money for. He got that bonus, the biggest payday of his life, and the small then tattoo-less Irishman with the thick mohawk exploded as the most extravagant man to ever step into combat sports. Four years ago, he made 8,000 to fight. Today he'll make 75 million.

Floyd Mayweather is 49-0 in his boxing career. Aside from that, his ego is 10 times the size of Donald Trump’s or that savage freak dictator that’s running North Korea. Conor McGregor has a professional boxing record of 0-0. Seriously, do you honestly think that an ego-maniac like Mayweather would get into the ring with a 0-0 fighter if there was any chance of losing? Not in this lifetime. It would be the biggest embarrassment of the past two centuries and maybe the biggest embarrassment in sports history so there is no chance in hell that Mayweather would agree to be a part of that. He did agree, however, to be part of the marketing strategy.

Mayweather and McGregor have done everything they could to sell this fight. There was the multi-stop world tour, the remarks that were implied to be racist, the comments that were flat out homophobic and even subtle remarks about weight cutting issues that never really existed. Every time there was bigger news, Mayweather or McGregor or even White found something, anything, to shift the attention of the sports world back to this fight.

Again, this fight is all about money and we assure you that Mayweather would not agree to go back into the ring to get embarrassed by a 0-0 boxer if there was even a 0.000001% chance that he could lose. Are we suggesting the fight is fixed? We’re suggesting this fight is all about money and a closed door agreement between McGregor and Mayweather that Mayweather set the terms in because McGregor would never come close to seeing money like he’s seeing here without Mayweather. We’re strongly suggesting that not only is the fight pre-arranged, the outcome is prearranged too because Mayweather set the terms. Going the distance with McGregor and his 0-0 professional record would be almost as big as an embarrassment to Mayweather as losing. Therefore, we’re almost sure that Mayweather will win inside the distance and will play it that way. Any bet on McGregor is throwing away money.
